Thursday, December 13, 2001 Shows to see Iowa City Press-Citizen Sal's
Break-In Benefit Phase II in which local musicians pitch in to help Sal's Music Emporium recover from a November burglary. On tap at press time are Kathryn Musilek, Fear Of Falling, Dave Rogers, Black Milk, The Dave Olson One-Timers, Kita, Hate Daisies, My Business Fails In 3 Weeks, Tim Krein and Sacco & Vanzetti. CD-release Party "M.U.S.E." is Musicians United to Save the Englert. The CD is a wonderful compilation of 15 Eastern Iowa musicians, with proceeds going to the Englert fund. The eminent Mr. Greg Brown, The Mayflies of Johnson Co. and The Kelly Pardekooper Band will perform for the party, and the disc (regularly $15) will be on sale at this show only for a mere $10.
